Marcelo Joulia - Naço Intuition / EN
Creating, travelling, drawing, building: this is the DNA of the bubbling architect and designer Marcelo Joulia.
Driven out of his country, Argentina, by the military coup in 1976, he drew from this personal trauma the strength of great builders. For thirty years, he has made his agency Naço - "intuition" in Guarani - the laboratory of a global and inventive architecture that decompartmentalizes genres and trades, mixing knowledge, arts and paths. Not belonging to any school, fiercely attached to his independence and freedom, he has imagined a unique creative space whose know-how and rigour blossom in the world of luxury as well as in that of urban mobility or major architectural projects. An insatiable adventurer, he is interested in everything, from large-scale buildings to design, furniture, bicycles and boats, and does not hold back on anything. His passion: working in teams, bringing together talents to imagine worlds. Epicurean, gourmand, generous, passionate about art and gastronomy, Marcelo Joulia invents places in his image, unique and welcoming, always dynamic.
This book traces the vision of a man and an agency that has surrounded itself with the best to keep demanding and iconoclastic architecture alive in the future.
