TC Cuadernos 136/137 - Dominique Perrault 2008 2018

Por segunda ocasión, tras el número 77/78, Dominique Perrault, vuelve a formar parte de las monografías de TC Cuadernos con este número doble de más de 400 páginas.
Recientemente galardonado con el Praemium Imperiale de Japón, desde que hiciera la Biblioteca Nacional de Francia, Dominique Perrault ha continuado una carrera de importantes realizaciones como el Velódromo Olímpico en Berlín, la ampliación del Tribunal de Justicia de la Unión Europea en Luxemburgo, el Estadio Olímpico de Tenis en Madrid, la Universidad de Mujeres EWHA en Seúl y la Torre Fukoku en Osaka. Más de 700 proyectos ideados de los se han llevado a cabo alrededor de 100, le convierten es uno de los estudios más destacados del panorama francés y europeo contemporáneo.

Presentamos una selección de las obras recientes principales, algunas recién terminadas como el Palacio de Congresos de León y ampliamente documentadas como siempre con fotografías, planos y detalles; realizaciones donde aborda la hiperdensidad y proximidad como conceptos que deben ser claves para la ciudad del futuro.

Una ciudad que Dominique Perrault entiende como un tejido con tres dimensiones donde el subsuelo se convierte en un tema fundamental capaz de extraer el potencial de la ciudad que está debajo permitiendo un uso más intensivo y racional del espacio.
También aborda el valor del patrimonio y la necesidad de su intervención como material de trabajo y reivindica el la autenticidad de los materiales como el hormigón o el metal, incorporando al mismo tiempo soluciones y tecnologías procedentes del campo industrial a los usos arquitectónicos.

For the second time, after the number 77/78, Dominique Perrault returns in the monographs of TC Cuadernos with this double number of more than 400 pages.
Recently awarded by the Praemium Imperiale of Japan, since becoming the National Library of France, Dominique Perrault has pursued a career of important achievements such as the Olympic Velodrome in Berlin, the enlargement of the Court of Justice of the European Union in Luxembourg, the Olympic Tennis Stadium in Madrid, the EWHA Women's University in Seoul and the Fukoku Tower in Osaka. More than 700 conceived projects have been realized on a hundred, which makes it one of the most remarkable studies of the French and contemporary European panorama.

We present a selection of the most recent major works, some recently completed under the Palacio de Congresos de León and widely documented, as always with photographs, plans and details; achievements where he addresses hyperdensity and proximity as concepts that should be the key to the city of the future.

A city that Dominique Perrault considers a three-dimensional fabric where the basement becomes a fundamental issue able to extract the potential of the city below, allowing a more intensive and rational use of space.
It also addresses the value of heritage and the need for its intervention as a working material and claims the authenticity of materials such as concrete or metal, while integrating solutions and technologies ranging from industrial to architectural uses.
